Hong kong, January 22-24, 2017

Arrive in HK January 22-23, 2017
***Every day at 6pm (Starting Jan 21) we meet in the Lobby Bar at the Novotel Wanchai to start the evening shenanigans***

January 22 at 8pm, meet at Typhoon. Alex will be arriving and meeting everyone there. Note that the Airbnb is above the bar.

January 23 at 1pm, meet for lunch at Din Tai Fung. Make sure you are at the right one. There are a few in the city.

FCCdresscode

January 23rd at 8pm, dinner at the Foreign Correspondents' Club, Lan Kai Fong. Dress code: Business Casual (only collard shirts, no denim, sneakers or shorts)

10pm, everyone meets at Havana Bar in Lan Kwai Fung. It is a rooftop bar and the entrance is tricky to find.

Macao, January 24-26, 2017

We will go as a group to take the ferry from Hong Kong Harbor to Macau (Outer Harbor)

***Meet at Starbucks, 2nd floor Macau Ferry Terminal Jan 24 at 11am sharp. Brooke will buy the tickets in advance***

Transport to Studio City for drinks and Baccarat
Black Tie dinner January 24th at the Grand Lisboa VIP Clubbing and gambling at China Rouge

January 25th, 1-5pm bus/eating tour of Macao

Portuguese dinner with traditional dancers, 8-11pm in Taipa Village, secret wine cellar

January 26th, Ferry to Hong Kong and return to US, or fly out of Macau that evening

Alex will be staying in Macau for a few days afterwards, if anyone wants to hang out longer

FAQ

  • Do you need a visa? If you have a US passport you don't need a visa for Hong Kong or Macau for a stay less than 90 days.
  • Do you need Macanese currency (Patacas)? No. Hong Kong Dollars are taken everywhere. Once you land in Hong Kong you can pull Hong Kong Dollars from a cash machine.
  • Is this a "boys only" trip? Not at all. Significant others are welcome.
  • Is this trip tax-deductible? It IS a corporate retreat for InterTrauma. So, the answer is........ask your accountant.
  • Do I need to bring a tuxedo all the way to Macau? Yes, because we will be taking photos at Studio City. Worst case, bring a black suit and a black bowtie. It's like a wedding, and you are all in the wedding party.
